Skilled Trades of West Alabama Apprenticeship program is registered with the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship and the U.S. Department Of Labor

Apprenticeship classes run from August to July each year, with training in Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC., The goal isto prepare apprentices for the State Journeman license while obtaining the required OJT hours.

JUMPSTART training is designed for ages 18 - 24 who are not already employed in a trade but want to prepare for a career in the construction trade.

Rural Jumpstart classes in Hale, Greene, Fayette, Marengo, Bibb, Pickens, Lamar and Sumter counties
Next session starts August 4th, 2025

Classes run 5pm - 8pm, 2 evenings per week for 12 weeks.
New Classes start every 14 weeks.
